Performance
- Good suction energy
- Can get caught on sure carpets
- Converts in a handheld cleaner
The Jet 90 did fairly effectively in our take a look at house, which incorporates a mix of tiled flooring, space rugs, and a low-pile carpeted room. It picked up cereal bits, biscuit crumbs, pet hair, and a substantial quantity of mud, even whereas on the bottom suction setting.
Cranking this as much as medium pulled extra sand and dirt from carpets, although we've got to level out that in case you maintain the Turbo Action Brush on one space of carpet for too lengthy, it will definitely cease spinning after a number of seconds and the vacuum throws up an error. You’ll then have to modify it on and off once more with a view to resume cleansing. The telescopic pole permits as much as 4 changes in size, starting from 93cm all the way in which as much as 114cm to make for comfy use and navigation.
When used as a handheld vacuum the Jet 90 continued to do effectively – we have been capable of dig into our sofa to suck up bits of stale popcorn, extra pet hair, and dirt. The Jet 90 doesn’t really feel too cumbersome to carry when used on this mode, and attachments are straightforward to swap round as obligatory. It’s additionally helpful to make use of in your automobile, although it may be a little bit of a problem to attempt to vacuum beneath seats – we might solely use this on the ground carpets and seats themselves to select up particles.
Noise ranges from the Jet 90 should not too unhealthy when used on the primary two energy settings, however crank it as much as Turbo and it feels (and sounds) such as you’ve bought a mini-hurricane in your hand.
The mud bin itself might be eliminated by urgent the button within the entrance, after which you twist the highest filter off after which empty the contents of the bin into your trash can. It’s not as straightforward to empty because the quick-release system we’ve seen on Dyson’s vacuum cleaners, and there's a risk of mud from the bin flying out in case you empty it out too vigorously. Samsung’s answer to that is the Clean Station, which we’ll take a look at afterward.
One factor we've got to level out concerning the Jet 90 is its base station. While it gives a helpful spot to park the Jet 90 and cost it, the entire construction takes up fairly a little bit of area, and needs to be arrange completely subsequent to an influence socket.
This sadly isn’t one thing you'll be able to simply cover in a cabinet someplace – you’ll wish to place this someplace the Jet 90 can recharge undisturbed whereas not being a visible distraction to your residing area. The base station additionally solely consists of holders for simply two attachments – all the pieces else must be saved some place else till you want it.
Battery Life
- Battery lasts as much as 60 minutes
- Full recharge takes 3.5 hours
- Additional battery might be charged on the base station

For common use on a mix of the low and medium energy settings with the Turbo Action Brush hooked up, we clocked slightly below 42 minutes of battery time. When we ran it at Turbo velocity with a full battery, the Jet 90 lasted 10 minutes and 22 seconds.
Recharge time is round 3.5 hours, which is a whole lot of time to attend for in case your Jet 90 runs out of juice in the course of a very busy cleansing schedule. Luckily, the bottom station has a slot to cost a spare battery, so offering you buy an extra battery, you'll be able to merely swap it out for a brand new one and choose up the place you left off.

- Requires proprietary trash luggage
- Priced at $199 / £179 / AU$299
For anybody who’s not a fan of how the Jet 90’s bin is emptied or has extreme mud allergic reactions, Samsung additionally has the Clean Station which might be bought individually. Priced at $199 / £179 / AU$299, it’s a glossy and tall gadget that serves one objective – to hygienically clear out your Jet 90 dustbin.

The filth is then funneled right into a disposable bag that sits hidden contained in the Clean Station, which you'll be able to throw out when it turns into full after a number of emptying cycles.
While that is nice for individuals who actually don’t wish to have any mud flying wherever when cleansing the mud bin, it presents its personal set of challenges. Here’s one more factor you’ll should arrange and depart plugged in someplace in your own home, most likely proper subsequent to the Jet 90. Secondly, you’re reliant on the specifically made trash bins from Samsung, in order that’s yet another factor that you simply’ll should preserve shopping for.
For most individuals, the Clean Station might look like an pointless buy, and may have no concern emptying the bin into a daily trash can. For others which can be extra specific, the Clean Station makes an attempt to resolve an issue which will solely be current in very particular eventualities.
