The track and field indoor worlds in China were postponed for the second consecutive year.

World Athletics reported on Thursday that the city of Nanjing was to host it in 2020, which was postponed to March next year. However, it will no longer be held in March 2021 either.

“There is still uncertainty about Covid-19 early next year,” the game’s governing body said in a statement here. We rely on the pandemic prevention policy of the host country to bring people in large groups in this phase of the pandemic and to deal with this risk. “

Nanjing is 530 kilometers away from Wuhan, considered the initial center of this Pandemic.

World Athletics said that the city has agreed to host these games in 2023. Its next session will be held in Belgrade, Serbia in 2023.
