Jehan Daruvala created historical past, grew to become the primary Indian to win F2 Race

Sakhir (Bahrain): Indian driver Jehan Daruvala made history during the Sakhir Grand Prix last Sunday, he has now become the first Indian to win the Formula Two Race. The 22-year-old Indian driver topped the final Formula One Grand Prix support race of the season in a thrilling contest against Formula Two (F2) champions Mick Schumacher and Daniel Ticktum.

Jehan Daruvala, driving for Rayo Racing, started from second place on the grid with Daniel Ticktum. Tiktum tried to put Jehan to the side which led Mick Schumacher to overtake both of them after which Jehan fell behind but both did not give up and won their first FIA Formula Two race (F2 Race).

His Japanese partner Yuki Tsunoda finished second, 3.5 seconds behind Jehan while Tiktum finished third. Jehan said, ‘I had to prove to my people in India that even though we do not have facilities like European drivers but when you work hard you can challenge well at the turn of the grid.
