Government will infuse funds in BSNL within the subsequent monetary 12 months
New Delhi: The authorities will put in Rs 44,720 crore into loss-making state-owned telecom firm Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) within the subsequent monetary 12 months, in line with the union finances."The provision is made for capital infusion for 4G spectrum, technology up-gradation and restructuring in BSNL," the explanatory notice within the finances doc mentioned.Besides the capital infusion, the federal government will present extra monetary assist of Rs 7,443.57 crore to BSNL for a voluntary retirement scheme and Rs 3,550 crore as grant-in-aid for fee of GST.The monetary assist for the voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) contains the implementation of the scheme at each BSNL and MTNL. The assist for GST can be supplied to BSNL for the fee of GST on the allocation of 4G spectrum, in line with the finances.The extra monetary assist for the general public sector firms is along with the Rs 69,000-crore aid bundle the federal government supplied them in October 2019.
