Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: L&T designed the gear for the viaduct
A full span of state-of-the-art launching gear was flagged off in the present day to expedite the development of a 325 km lengthy viaduct on the upcoming high-speed bullet prepare hall between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The launching gear of 1,100 MT capability is indigenously designed and manufactured by infrastructure conglomerate M/s Larsen & Toubro (L&T) at Kanchipuram, Chennai, in keeping with a press release launched by the Railway Ministry in the present day. A complete of 20 such launching gear can be required for the development of viaduct superstructures between Vapi and Ahmedabad in Gujarat alongside the high-speed railway line.

More than 97 per cent of land has been acquired for the bullet prepare mission in Gujarat and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and 30 per cent in Maharashtra, in keeping with the federal government. The work has already begun on the 325 km route (in Gujarat) out of the entire 508 km hall between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
