BCCI to investigate bio-security violations by Indian cricketers: report

The BCCI will examine the video in which five of India’s cricketers – Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw – have violated Cricket Australia’s bio-security protocols.

The five cricketers are seen in the secret kitchen of a BBQ restaurant in Melbourne, while the permission is only to sit outside and eat. Players are allowed outside, but they can remain outside the restaurant.

The Sindy Morning Herald and restaurant staff from The Age have confirmed that the players visited the restaurant and sat inside.

An Indian fan named Navdeep Singh has posted a video on social media in which he paid bill of $ 118.69 for Indian players. He has also posted pictures of players’ shopping.

The breach in the restaurant is considered to be serious as recently Covid-19 cases are rising in Victoria, where Melbourne and Sydney where Test matches are to be played from January 7.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald report, the BCCI is investigating this video. A BCCI spokesperson declined to comment. Cricket had asked for an answer from Australia but there is no response yet.

Navdeep posted, he did not know who paid his bill .. I can only do so much for my superstars.

Navdeep wrote, when he came to know that I have given the bill, Rohit said that brother, take the money, a friend does not like it. I said no sir, I will give. Pant hugged me and said that the photo would be taken only when the money was returned. I said no brother. Everyone was finally photographed. Enjoyed man.
