World Cup 2023: Fans troll as India go back home
4 min read

England Cricket Team has given a tough time to India as both parties met at Adelaide Oval on Thursday to encounter the second semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2023. With the courtesy of this ‘tough time’, the men in blue get a ticket to fly back home, whereas the men in red have qualified for the event’s final showdown, where they will encounter Pakistan on Sunday.

The last time team India qualified for the T20 World Cup 2023 final was in 2014. Their journey in the ICC events has not been so pretty handsome lately. Losing by 10 wickets came out as the second most humiliating defeat to them in the history of the T20 World Cup, as the first humiliating remains a 10-wicket loss to Pakistan in the Group stage encounter of the 2021 World Cup.

Losing with a notable margin, all team India comes across is trolls and lashes back for the posts the country’s officials, ex-cricketers, and fans put up after Pakistan lost two back-to-back games in the Group Stage. Later, the men in green became the first side to qualify for the final. While India dreamt of meeting them at the iconic MCG on Sunday, their hopes and dreams were shattered away by a thrilling batting showcase from Alex Hales and Jos Buttler as both managed to win with an explosive first-wicket partnership.
