Visakhapatnam, December 23: The world's largest fish, a whale shark, was washed ashore on a seashore in Visakhapatnam nevertheless it was despatched again to sea by the authorities with the assistance of fishermen and animal conservationists, an official mentioned. An Andhra Pradesh forest division official mentioned a bunch of native fishermen on December 18 rescued a shark trapped in a shore fishing internet at Tantadi seashore in Visakhapatnam.

Visakhapatnam District Forest Officer (DFO) Anant Shankar, mentioned the whale shark was guided again to the ocean by the forest division officers, fishermen and wildlife conservationists.

It was on the night of December 18 that some fishermen observed a big fish being washed ashore on the seashore. The authorities will share the shark's footage with the Maldives Whale shark analysis programme for identification. The official mentioned this could assist perceive the actions and territories of this species.

Anant Shankar mentioned they suggested the fishermen to method the forest division for rescue and secure launch instantly in such an eventuality. He mentioned they might take measures to pace up the method of rescue as time will probably be essential in such conditions.

The DFO assured that fishermen will probably be given compensation in case of any damages to their fishing nets in case the whale sharks get entangled.
