Taapsee Pannu Hails 'Inspiring' Mithali Raj for Getting Khel Ratna Award

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has heaped praises on Mithali Raj, who's the first-ever Indian girl cricketer to obtain the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.

Taapsee shall be seen taking part in Mithali Raj, who has the excellence of being the very best ODI run-getter in girls’s cricket, within the biopic titled Shabaash Mithu, directed by Srijit Mukherjee. Taapsee on Tuesday introduced that the capturing of the sports activities biopic has been accomplished.

Posting a video of the ladies’s cricket crew captain being bestowed the honour by President Ram Nath Kovind, Taapsee tweeted: “Just by listening to this exhaustingly lengthy introduction of her accolades I really feel she truly deserves a series made on her, not only a movie." She added: “So inspiring."

The actress has wrapped up capturing for Shabaash Mithu. She additionally handled her followers to an image of her within the movie.

In translation, Taapsee’s caption reads: “I was eight when someone made me dream of the day when cricket would not be only a gentleman’s game. Women, too, will have a team, an identity. ‘Women in Blue’ are coming soon. Very soon."

With the subsequent ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup being scheduled to be held in New Zealand in March-April 2023, and with India below Raj’s captaincy aiming to make it to the ultimate for the third time (and win the trophy), the biopic couldn’t have been more appropriately timed.
