Photos: Remembering Satyajit Ray on his birth centenary, in Nemai Ghosh's photos

rrMay 2, 2021, marks the birth centenary of the legendary filmmaker, writer, illustrator and music composer Satyajit Ray. Known for his iconic films Pather Panchali (1955), Charulata (1964) and Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1969) among others, Ray also created the famous Bengali detective novel series, Feluda. Recipient of multiple national and international awards, Ray directed 36 films including 29 feature films. Known to his intimates as Manik da, Ray was photographed for close to 25 years by ace photographer Nemai Ghosh, who was also the official photographer for Ray, on and of the film sets.
