A quiet commute rarely stays quiet online. One clip. A few seconds. Then chaos.
What happened inside a premium coach of the Namo Bharat train near Ghaziabad has now spilled into police files, office orders, and public debate. The case feels messy. It feels human. And yes, uncomfortable.
What Sparked the Case
Late November. A premium coach. Routine travel between Duhai and Muradnagar.
According to the police record, a young man and woman traveling together performed an explicit act inside the coach. Public space. Other passengers nearby. Boundaries crossed.
That video did not stay private. It moved fast. WhatsApp. Social platforms. Screens everywhere. By the time authorities stepped in, the clip had already done damage.
The Muradnagar police station registered an FIR after receiving a formal complaint. The date of the incident stands as November 24, 2025. The FIR itself was lodged on the night of December 22, 2025.
Charges were filed under Sections 296 and 77 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The complaint names unknown persons as accused. The allegation focuses on an obscene act in a public place, one which harmed public dignity.
An official investigation is underway. No shortcuts. No assumptions.
The complaint came from Dushyant Kumar. He serves as the security head in the DBRRTS department. His role involves overseeing safety arrangements for the Namo Bharat service operated under NCRTC.
From his standpoint, the issue went beyond shock value. It involved passenger safety, decorum, and trust in public transport systems.
Here is where the story turns sharper.
During the probe, police learned the video was recorded by a train operator named Rishabh. He allegedly used his mobile phone inside the operator cabin while on duty. Rules forbid this. Ethics aside, the act crossed legal lines.
Recording was one thing. Uploading was another. The clip went viral soon after.
The operator lost his job. Termination followed on December 3, 2025. Swift. Final.
Legal Trouble for the Video Uploader
The matter did not stop at dismissal.
A separate case was registered against the operator under Section 67 of the Information Technology Amendment Act, 2008. This section deals with publishing obscene content online.
Police confirmed both angles are under active investigation. The original video. The FIR copy. Digital trails. All under review.
