More windy days with thundery showers expected in first half of December: Met Service

SINGAPORE: More windy days might be expected in the first half of December, with average to thundery showers forecast on most days, stated the Meteorological Service Singapore on Wednesday (Dec 1).


In its fortnightly climate outlook, the Met Service stated temperatures could vary between 24 levels Celsius and 33 levels Celsius on most days.

On one or two wet days, the temperature might drop to 22 levels Celsius, stated the Met Service. It may hit 34 levels Celsius on just a few hotter days when there may be little or no cloud cowl.

“Expect short-duration moderate to heavy thundery showers over parts of the island in the afternoon on most days,” stated the Met Service, including that this may increasingly lengthen into the evenings every now and then.

“On a few days during the fortnight, Singapore may occasionally experience windy conditions,” it stated.

Rainfall for the first two weeks of December is expected to be below-average over most components of the nation.

In its assessment of the previous month, the Met Service famous that there have been average to thundery showers on most days in November. These have been principally in the afternoons, and prolonged into the evenings on just a few days.
