A productivity-linked bonus of Rs 28,000 together with a wage revision for workers of state-owned Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL) was introduced by the federal government on Sunday, forward of Diwali.

Union Minister of Steel Ram Chandra Prasad Singh introduced the bonus throughout an occasion organised at MOIL's campus in Nagpur.

He introduced a production-linked bonus of Rs 28,000 for all of the MOIL staff, which shall be paid earlier than the upcoming Diwali pageant.

The wage revision is for 10 years, with impact from August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2027, and can profit round 5,800 staff of the corporate, the metal ministry mentioned in a press release.
