The solar has lastly set on Harran with the closing Dying Light replace rolling out this week. But due to the slew of free content material, it is rocketed proper to the high of my listing of video games to play this weekend.
Dying Light was launched again in 2015, and its parkouring motion set it aside from the multitude of different video games in the style. I'm an enormous zombie fan, so coming off the again of Dead Island, I was itching for an additional hit of undead goodness. And Techland delivered.

The studio has continued to help the recreation with a gradual stream of content material publish-launch, and is doing the similar with Dying Light 2. Back in March, Dying Light got a free subsequent-gen improve for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. And this final bumper replace brings an growth pack and 4 DLCs to base recreation homeowners without spending a dime.
What's included in the Dying Light free replace?
I got via the base recreation fairly shortly; which is a miracle given I get simply distracted and have a mountain of unfinished titles. It does not have the most earth-shattering plot, however boy howdy, is it enjoyable to parkour round the metropolis, sweep up loot, and kill zombies. And when evening falls, it turns right into a horror-fest.
I by no means got round to choosing up the DLC or growth as a result of I'd moved on to one thing else by then. And dipping again right into a recreation each time an replace drops is not one thing I do. So this free improve to the Dying Light Enhanced Edition is just the factor to justify diving again in.
Techland detailed the closing replace this week however here is what homeowners of the Dying Light commonplace version will probably be getting – and this is all free, keep in mind:
- The Following growth
- Bozak Horde
- Cuisine and Cargo
- Ultimate Survivor bundle
- Crash Test pores and skin bundle
The Following growth features a new map, storyline, and automobile. The 4 DLC packs introduce a brand new recreation mode, in addition to weapons, skins, and a sprinkling of different content material.

Given that my gaming pool has run dry, and I'm craving one other dose of the undead, the freebies could not have come at a greater time. So what if the solar is shining for a change? Stepping into an enhanced Harran and playing with new weapons, in addition to taking the autos for a spin seems like a blast.
Hellraid is the solely DLC lacking from the listing, however it's a really totally different vibe to the foremost recreation. The mode sends you to a medieval fort, the place you will battle hordes of skeletons. It appears enjoyable however is not half of the core Dying Light expertise, so you are not lacking something too main.
