Finance Ministry on Wednesday requested all central ministries and departments to clear their pending dues in the direction of nationwide provider Air India instantly. Also all central authorities officers have been directed to purchase Air India's tickets in money until additional orders.

The notification issued by the division of expenditure of finance ministry got here after the nationwide provider ended its credit score facility to the federal government because it has been bought off to Tata Sons.

“Recently, the Government of India has determined to disinvest Air India, the method of disinvestment of Air India and Air India Express is ongoing. Air India has stopped extending credit score facility on account of buy of air tickets. Therefore all ministries and departments are directed to clear Air India's dues instantly. Air tickets from Air India could also be bought in money until additional directions," the division of expenditure memorandum mentioned.
