11 COVID-19 deaths as Singapore reports more than 3,000 new cases for fifth straight day

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases for a fifth straight day on Saturday (Oct 9) as 11 more folks died from issues because of the virus. 

The fatalities are 5 males and 6 girls aged between 56 and 90. Four of them have been unvaccinated towards COVID-19, three have been partially vaccinated and 4 have been absolutely vaccinated.

Ten of them had numerous underlying medical situations, whereas one partially unvaccinated case had no recognized medical situations.

The 56-year-old affected person who died was partially vaccinated and had a number of underlying medical situations, mentioned the Ministry of Health (MOH).

This takes Singapore's demise toll from the coronavirus to 153.

New infections inched up, with 3,703 cases reported as of midday on Saturday, the best quantity up to now. 

Among them, 3,700 infections are domestically transmitted, comprising 2,868 cases in the neighborhood and 832 in migrant employee dormitories.
