Vicky Kaushal has revealed the identify of the Meghna Gulzar-directed biopic primarily based on the lifetime of battle hero Sam Manekshaw, who was the primary Indian Military officer to be promoted to Area Marshal. The movie, which sees Kaushal essaying the titular function, is known as ‘SamBahadur’.
Kaushal posted a video on Instagram on Saturday, the beginning anniversary of the late Area Marshal, to make the announcement.

“I had always heard stories about Sam Bahadur from my parents, who hail from Punjab and have seen the 1971 war, but when I read the script I was completely blown away. He is a hero and patriot who is still remembered and loved to this day, and capturing his spirit in the film is of the highest importance to me,” stated Kaushal.
Area Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s navy profession spanned 4 a long time and 5 wars.

I couldn’t be happier,” stated Gulzar.
Kaushal’s first look within the biopic was launched in 2019, as a tribute to the Area Marshal on his demise anniversary. Final yr, the makers unveiled the re-assessment.
