Abu Dhabi: The UAE welcomed the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to limit registration for this yr's Haj pilgrimage to citizens and residents of the Kingdom, at a complete of 60,000 vaccinated pilgrims, in gentle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a press release made on Saturday, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, stated the UAE welcomes the Kingdom's decision and helps all measures it takes as half of its efforts to struggle the COVID-19 pandemic, comprise its unfold and guarantee the security and safety of the pilgrims and the neighborhood.

Al Marar praised the scientific progress made by Saudi Arabia in opposition to the pandemic.
