The entry of John Cena took a surprising turn when he appeared nude to present the Best Costume Award at this year's event. The viral clip features talk show host Jimmy Kimmel introducing WWE star John Cena as the presenter of the category, hinting that he might come out naked as the presenter. According to Jimmy, he says:
“Can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today? I said, can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today? Wouldn’t that be crazy?”

At the 96th Academy Awards, John Cena took to the stage naked to accept the award
In spite of the fact that at first it looks like Cena will be reluctant to come out in front of the audience without clothes, Jimmy ultimately persuades him to come out, leaving the audience laughing. According to John Cena,
“I changed my mind. I don’t want to do the streaker bit. I just don’t feel right about it. It’s an elegant event, you know, you should feel shame right now for suggesting such a tasteless joke,”

The envelope with the winner's name covers his modesty.
There is an immediate display of the nominated members on the screen after the announcement of the category. In the meantime, Kimmel drapes a huge curtain over him as he speaks.
Now looking relaxed, Cena moves ahead to present the award to the winner Holly Waddington for Poor Things. The fact that she won surpassed the many other notable personalities that were nominated in the same category, such as Jacqueline West for Killers of the Flower Moon, Jacqueline Durran for Barbie, Ellen Mirojnick for Oppenheimer, and Janty Yates and Dave Crossman for Napoleon.
The act is part of Variety's attempt to pay homage to one of the most awkward moments in Oscars history, when it was around 50 years ago when a man ran on stage naked during the 46th Academy Awards when David Niven was introducing Elizabeth Taylor as part of a tribute to that moment.
