Story
Details of the marketing campaign are restricted for the time being, besides that we all know that it's an "original narrative" set in the DC universe and a continuation of the Batman: Arkham-verse. Implanted with deadly explosives of their heads, the story follows the Suicide Squad as they give the impression of being to avoid wasting Earth and kill the world's best DC superheroes, The Justice League.
Superman is the solely member to have been proven off thus far however we're fairly assured in saying the likes of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, Batman and so forth, will seem in all through. The latter of which will likely be an attention-grabbing conundrum, contemplating how Batman: Arkham Knight ended. Several rumors counsel The Dark Knight may work alongside the Suicide Squad of their makes an attempt to thwart the mind-controlled Justice League.
During the DC FanDome panel, Rocksteady inventive director Sefton Hill spoke about the narrative {links} that can proceed on from the Arkham series, stating that: "a lot of through threads and storylines you're gonna see come to fruition in this game".
Open-world
Metropolis itself will function the open-world in Rocksteady's Suicide Squad. The metropolis is finest referred to as the dwelling of Superman, takes inspiration from the likes of Toronto and New York, whereas additionally being neighbors with Gotham. Voice actors
So far, two out of the 4 Suicide Squad members have been confirmed, with long-time Harley Quinn veteran voice actor Tara Strong resuming the position as soon as extra. King Shark, on the different hand, will likely be voiced by WWE wrestler Nuufolau Joel Seanoa a.okay.a. Samoa Joe.
While no official phrase on the voice of Captain Boomerang, it is closely rumored that Chris Parson has been given the position. He beforehand voiced Junkrat in Overwatch and there's a big resemblance when listening to the two.
Deadshot is somewhat more durable to pin down. Chris Cox beforehand voiced the one-shot surprise in Arkham City and Arkham Origins, each of that are set in the identical universe. This Deadshot has been confirmed to be the Floyd Lawton interpretation of the character too, nevertheless, there's an enormous gaping flaw why it does not appear to be Cox that is returning.
For one, the audio clip sounds nothing like his model, and two – the most damming - this Deadshot is black, versus the white model Cox portrayed. Therefore, with out a longtime voice instantly leaping out at folks, many consider it might be an up-and-comer. However, King Shark was killed in the direct-to-video Assault on Arkham, so the query of what's truly 'canon' may be very a lot up in the air.
The final unconfirmed position we hear in the trailer (Superman does not communicate) is Amanda Wallace. CCH Pounder has voiced the Suicide Squad boss in Arkham Origins, Arkham Origins Blackgate, and Assault on Arkham, due to this fact, it is not out of the realms of risk that she is going to return as soon as once more/
Lego Batman star Will Arnett (who hosted the DC Fandome panel) additionally requested if he may seem in the sport as an NPC, to which Hill replied that: "I think we can maybe make something work". Something that will surely make for a cool easter egg.
