CHESHIRE — A special-education teacher at Chapman Elementary School is on paid leave and under police investigation after posting a profanity-filled video on social media, threatening people who voted for President Donald Trump in the recent election.
In the one-minute Snapchat video, Annie Dunleavy warned, "Just because you won doesn’t mean we don’t remember who you voted for. Don’t test me, or you’ll end up on a stretcher — gone, forever."

The video went viral after being shared on the Libs of TikTok page on X (formerly Twitter), amassing 6.2 million views and 46,000 reposts by Tuesday.
Cheshire Superintendent Jeffrey Solan stated Monday that Dunleavy was placed on administrative leave, adding that while there were no direct threats to the school, they decided on a police presence as a precaution.
State Sen. Rob Sampson, R-Wolcott, condemned the video, saying that such threatening language has "no place in our schools or community," and urged for prompt action.
