SpongeBob SquarePants is the main character of the similarly-named cartoon. The action takes place in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom, where a lot of other inhabitants live and play a full role in the main hero’s magical life and work.
The series has the long history and has taken the Nickelodeon’s TV time since 1999. The movie, that was released after the second season, has got plenty awards and became extremely popular all over the world. The SpongeBob series have the authors, who seem to have quite the controversial minds, as they combined the incompatible things in just one cartoon. Thus, they concealed highly philosophical ideas in every inch of the Bikini Bottom territory. Any of the main characters impersonifies a deadly sin. Who could think, huh?
However, the majority of the fans of happy SpongeBob SquarePants suppose that this character is created to cheer up the viewers with weird and sometimes stupid actions. To be honest, sometimes this sponge turns to be very nice and adorable. Probably, it explains, why the Internet has the abundance of the SpongeBob meme faces. There are so many screen captions with this yellow boy, sitting alone, making a cup of coffee, being angry, dancing with his best friend Patrick, etc., that we suppose him to be a real superstar of the network. Come on, think about it: he is followed wherever he goes and whenever he goes, just like a Hollywood guy. It is like a fever, caused by SpongeBob and his homies in da hood. Well, we are happy to have fun with this nice cartoon – it is always cool to have an opportunity to relax after a day, to switch on the TV and have several minutes of laugh at lolable SpongeBob series.
