Former Indian captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has played a stormy inning with his bat on the field once again after a long time.

Sourav Ganguly scored an unbeaten 53 off 32 balls in a friendly match at Sardar Patel Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. However his team had to face defeat in this match. A match was played at the Sardar Patel Motera Stadium on Wednesday between the teams of BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah.

In this, Jai Shah-led Secretary XI defeated 48-year-old Sourav Ganguly’s President XI by 28 runs. Secretary XI scored 128 for 3 wickets in 12 overs, playing first. Jaidev Shah scored 38 and Mohammad Azharuddin scored 37 runs.

In spite of Sourav Ganguly’s stormy innings, President XI could only manage 100 runs for 4 wickets in the scheduled overs. Sourav Ganguly smashed an unbeaten 53-run stand in 32 balls. In this innings he hit 6 fours and a six. Jai Shah took 2 wickets for Secretary XI. Earlier, Sourav Ganguly also showed his hands in bowling. He got 1 wicket for 26 runs in 3 overs.
