Sony's giving you the chance to buy a PS5 ahead of Black Friday 2021

If you nonetheless have not managed to buy an elusive PS5 for your self or a relative, then you may lastly be in with a shot. Sony has launched a web site that enables customers to register their curiosity in buying a PlayStation 5 console this Holiday season.

Spotted by Twitter consumer Nibellion, the web site reads: "This coming holiday season, we will have a limited amount of PS5 Consoles available for customers in the US to purchase direct from PlayStation."

The promotion appears to be open to US consumers solely, who will need to have an current PlayStation Network ID so as to sign up to the web site to register their curiosity. The FAQ part of the web page reads that "selection is based on previous interests and PlayStation activities," implying that individuals who have bought PlayStation merchandise in the previous are more possible to be picked.

The web site notes that if you've been chosen, invites will begin rolling out in November 2021, possible simply ahead of Black Friday 2021 which takes place from November 26.

Invitations might be despatched through e mail, containing directions for the way to redeem your invitation to buy a PS5 console (or the PS5 Digital Edition) in addition to attachments like DualSense controllers and the Pulse 3D wi-fi headset.

Even if you are chosen, Sony stresses that it is nonetheless doable for its pool of PS5s to promote out earlier than all invites have been redeemed, so we would advocate holding a hawkish eye in your inbox in November if you've registered curiosity.

As Black Friday looms, PS5 consoles are little doubt on the minds of 1000's of customers. PS5 offers are possible to be very skinny on the floor this Black Friday outdoors of the odd bundle – thanks to the ongoing rarity of Sony's present-gen system – so we would say you've acquired nothing to lose by registering your curiosity above, so long as you meet the entry necessities and may, of course, afford to buy a PS5.

It's hardly the first time Sony has run a promotion akin to this one, with related invitation-based mostly periods sprinkled all through the yr since the PS5's launch, together with this one the place solely current PS5 house owners had been eligible to buy one other PS5.

We're glad to see that Sony is extending one thing of an olive department ahead of Black Friday 2021, at the least for US consumers. We'd of course love to see related promotions hit areas throughout the globe, however at the least some gamers in the US might be ready to hopefully beat the Black Friday rush to rating a PS5 in time for the holidays.
