Smita Jaykar is an Indian film and television actress. She is best known for her roles in the popular Marathi television series, Tu Tithe Mee. She has also acted in several Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam and Kannada films.

Born in Mumbai, Smita Jaykar graduated from Mithibai College in Mumbai. She started her career in films in 1994 with the Marathi language film Mumbaicha Jawai. She followed up with roles in Hindi films like Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Satya, Pukar, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Tum Pe Marte Hain and Kal Ho Naa Ho.

Jaykar has worked in several television series, including the popular Marathi show Tu Tithe Mee, which aired on Zee Marathi from 2003-2008. She has also acted in other Marathi shows like Kairee, Ek Doosrey Ke Liye, Tuzhat Jeev Rangala and many more. In 2016, she made her debut in the Malayalam film industry with the movie Kunjiramayanam.

Apart from films and television, Jaykar has been actively involved in theatre as well. She has acted in several Marathi plays, including Ek Khara Nadir, Jaat Hi Poochho Sadhu Ki and Kanyadaan. She was also seen in the Gujarati play, Darya Nu Ghar.

Jaykar has won several awards for her acting, including the Maharashtra State Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Marathi film, Jatra. She has also been felicitated with several awards at Marathi film festivals
