PAK vs SA: Man of the match Hasan Ali (10 wickets) and Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled Pakistan to beat South Africa by 95 runs in the second and final Test on Monday. With this, Pakistan swept South Africa 2–0 in a two-match Test series. Pakistan defeated South Africa in the Test series for the first time since 2003.

Let us know that Pakistan batted first in the second test and scored 272 runs in the first innings. In reply, South Africa’s first innings was reduced to 201 runs. The hosts thus got a 71-run lead on the basis of the first innings. Pakistan’s second innings was all out for 298 runs and South Africa reached the target of 370 runs to win. The second innings of the Proteas team was piled on for 274 runs. Recall that Pakistan won the first Test by 7 wickets.

First Test victory of Babar Azam

Babar Azam became the fifth captain of Pakistan, winning the team for the first time. Earlier, Fazal Mahmood (1959 vs West Indies), Mushtaq Mohammad (1976 vs New Zealand), Javed Miandad (1980 vs Australia) and Salim Malik (1994 vs New Zealand) won their debut test series as captain.

South Africa extended their innings to 127/1 on the fifth and final day of the second Test. Aiden Markram (108) certainly raised the hopes of winning the visiting team by scoring a century. He was well received by Temba Bavuma (61). Both shared a 106-run stand for the fourth wicket. Both of them tried to get the Proteas back by collecting attractive strokes on the field. The South African team were once in a happy position with a score of 241/3, but then the Pakistan bowlers exploded as soon as they took the new ball.
