Pak vs SL: Twitter loads debutant leg spinner Tuba Hasan for magnificent spell

Pakistan’s debutant leg spinner Tuba Hasan entertained the crowd with her magnificent spell versus Sri Lanka Women as Pak W vs SL W three-match T20I series kick-started today. The hosts romped a six-wicket victory over the guests, with the major courtesy of Tuba.

The debutant also bagged the player of the match award for her dream debut. Her spell 4-1-8-3 is now the best ever bowled by a Pakistani women cricketer in years-long history. In her maiden appearance in Pakistan, she did not fail but turned out to be a superstar in the building.

She is gathering all the appreciation she deserves as Twitter loads in her favour. Some term her even better than men’s players from the country such as Shadab Khan, and others. Tuba’s spell includes the wickets of Harshitha Madavi, Anushka Sanjeewani, and Kavisha Dilhari.

At the start, SL W won the toss and elected to bat first. They could amass 106 runs from 120 balls, sparing two wickets. Pakistani women cricketers inspired the lookouts with wonderful bowling. Anum Amin was another candidate to clutch a three-wicket haul and conceded 21 runs at a splendid economy of 5.25. Nida Dar, however, was wicketless but bowled a spell of 4-0-17-0.

After the bowlers, the batters decided to take charge and did not disappoint at all. Although it was not a steady start as the top-order collapsed, Irum Javed, Bismah Maroof, and Nida played crucial roles in tackling the Sri Lankan bowlers, adding 18 runs to opener Muneeba Ali.
