Greeting Readers. In this article, we are giving you the information about the IIT JAM 2021, which dates have been announced by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2021 date has been finalized on 14th February 2021 and the IISc will conduct this exam. The exam date and others were announced by the director of IISc Govindan Rangarajan on 9th September 2020 Wednesday. The online forms of IIT JAM 2021 open now, September 10. If you want to apply for this then you have to go to the official website of the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS)  and the link available at the website jam.iisc.ac.in. The last date of this form is set to be on 15th October 2020. As per the reports, every year over one Lakh candidates has appeared on the IIT JAM exam.

New Paper Added and Age Limit Criteria:

According to the reports and as per the website, its seen that a new paper has added in the IIT JAM 2021 which is extended to social sciences to provide admissions to master’s programs in Economics at the IITs. Just because of this the name of the examination has been changed to Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) from 2021. The main thing is that in JAM 2021, there is no age restriction, everyone will be free to apply on this and it is open to all nationals.

Procedure to apply for JAM 2021

  • Visit the official website of IIT JAM 2021, jam.iisc.ac.in.
  • On the homepage, look for the tab which says, “Candidate Portal (JOAPS)”.
  • Make a login account using a valid e-mail address, with a working mobile number and a password.
  • On successful registration, start filling the application form in the given format.
  • Upload all the relevant documents and pay the application fee.
  • Click on submit.

What is the IIT JAM?

JAM is known as Joint Admission Test for Masters in which it provides for the candidates who are soliciting admission to various masters programs. Talking bout the program then the programs are MSc (two years), Masters in Economics (two years), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, MSc-MS (Research) or Ph.D. dual degree, and other post-bachelor degree programs at IITs (Bhilai, Bhubaneshwar, Bombay, Delhi, ISM Dhanbad, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Palakkad, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Tirupati, and BHU Varanasi).

Examination Information:

  • The mode of the examination is online as a computer-based test (CBT).
  • It includes seven papers:- Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).
  • The pattern of the exam is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
  • It’s compulsory that only one candidate can appear for only one or two test papers.
