Speaking in an interview as part of GameSpot’s Play For All event in June 2021, Hines said, “They're working on the Indiana Jones games which we just talked about earlier this year. Obviously we literally just announced that deal, so you can make your own guesses about how far along that is.”

During the “Bethesda Joins Xbox” roundtable on March 11, Spencer addressed this further, saying “If you’re an Xbox customer, the thing I want you to know is that this is about delivering great exclusive games for you that ship on platforms where Game Pass exists,” Spencer explained. “That’s our goal, that’s why we’re doing this, that’s the root of this partnership that we’re building.”

It’s worth noting that Spencer also said, “Obviously I can’t sit here and say every Bethesda game is exclusive, because we know that’s not true,” due to contractual obligations that will have to be seen through.

We don’t know whether or not there are any contractual obligations around the Indiana Jones game but based on Spencer’s words it seems like there’s a good chance the new Indiana Jones game will, at the very least, be a Game Pass title, if not an outright Xbox exclusive. Spencer didn’t explicitly name the game so we can’t be certain just yet.

It’ll be a completely original story
It looks like we won’t be able to glean any story details about the new Indiana Jones game from existing media as Bethesda has confirmed that the game is to be an entirely “original story” in an announcement tweet. That hasn’t stopped us trying to pick apart the brief announcement trailer, though, as you can see below.

It looks like the game could be set (at least partly) in 1937, and see Indy adventuring to Rome given the trailer shows a map of Vatican City as well as a note from Indy that partly says "I can be arriving in Rome."
