Maruti Suzuki Sales Decline 24% to 1,38,335 Units in October, 2021

New Delhi, Nov 1: The nation's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Monday reported a 24 per cent decline in gross sales at 1,38,335 models in October.

The firm had offered 1,82,448 models in October final 12 months, MSI stated in an announcement.

Domestic gross sales slipped 32 per cent to 1,17,013 models final month as towards 1,72,862 models in September 2020, it added. Bajaj Auto Reports 14% Decline in Total Sales in October, 2021.

"While the shortage of electronic components continued to affect the production of vehicles during the month, the company took all possible measures to minimise the impact. Accordingly, the company sold more vehicles than the sales volume expected at the start of the month," the auto main said.

Sales of mini automobiles, comprising Alto and S-Presso, fell 23 per cent to 21,831 models as in contrast to 28,462 in the identical month final 12 months.

Similarly, gross sales of compact phase, together with fashions equivalent to Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and Dzire, slumped 49 per cent to 48,690 models as towards 95,067 automobiles in October final 12 months.

Sales of mid-sized sedan Ciaz declined 25 per cent to 1,069 models as in contrast with 1,422 models in October 2020.

Utility automobile gross sales, together with Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and Ertiga, nonetheless rose 7 per cent to 27,081 models as in contrast to 25,396vehicles in the year-ago month, MSI stated.

Exports jumped over two-folds at 21,322 models as towards 9,586 models in the corresponding month final 12 months, the corporate stated.
