Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar's last rites on Saturday

Popular Kannada movie star Puneeth Rajkumar's last rites might be held on Saturday after the return of his elder daughter Vanditha from the US. Karnataka Revenue Minister R. Ashok acknowledged that the actor's last rites might be performed with authorities honours.

His mortal stays have been taken to his residence from the hospital. Later, his physique might be saved at Kanteerava stadium in Bengaluru after 6.30 p.m. for ultimate viewing until late Saturday night.

Dr Ranganath Nayak who handled Puneeth, defined that he developed chest ache after two hours of exercise at a health club. He has consulted a household physician and undergone ECG check.

"When, ECG results showed his condition was serious he was referred to our hospital. En route to hospital he suffered a massive cardiac arrest. When he was brought to hospital, there was no cardiac activity," he defined.

He additional acknowledged that the docs tried to resuscitate Puneeth for 3 hours. "We have made all attempts to revive cardiac activity, but he could not be revived," he stated.
