Kanjoos Makhichoos Movie Set To Premiere on Zee5 On 25th March 2023

Kunal Khemu is all set to entertain his followers as soon as again together with his upcoming film ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’. The movie, written and directed by Vipul Mehta, is a comedy-drama that revolves across the lifetime of a middle-class man who is continually at odds with a corrupt system.

Kunal performs the position of Jamnaprasad Pandey, a miserly man who's notorious in his city of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. His household, comprising his mother and father Gangaprasad Pandey (Piyush Mishra) and Saraswati Pandey (Alka Amin), his spouse Madhuri (Shweta Tripathi), and son Krish, are fed up together with his penny-pinching habits. Nonetheless, nobody is aware of that he's saving cash to take his father for the char-dham yatra.

The story takes a flip when a flood devastates the city, and Jamna’s connection together with his household breaks. Vipul Mehta, the director, added, “Kanjoos Makhichoos is a story of a middle-class, simple-minded Pandey family, belonging to Lucknow. The story has a very realistic approach with humane and relatable characters. The humor depicted in the film is also very natural. In this world of nuclear urban families, our film is focusing on the story of a joint, close-knit family. The protagonist Jamnaprasad is a miser-minded person, and his miserly ways will steal the heart of the audience.”
