There is one title for Suriya 42, a Mighty Valiant Saga titled Kanguva. Siruthai Siva is the director for this episodic drama. As part of the UV Creations and Studio Green production banners, Vamsi-Pramod and KE Gnanavel Raja bankrolled the film under the banners UV Creations and Studio Green respectively. Bollywood Diva Disha Patani plays a female lead role in the film, while Natty Natraj plays the antagonist. Siruthai Siva and Suriya have never worked together before, and this is their first collaboration. A 3D version of the film was shot, and it will be released in ten different languages worldwide in the near future.
In an announcement that was made on July 20, 2023, the producers of the Kanguva movie announced that a first look poster would be released on July 23, 2023, which will give a glimpse of Suriya's role in the movie.

Kanguva is currently filming its final schedule. According to sources, the post-production work started at the end of 2023. The makers are planning to release the film in two parts. The first part of Suriya 42 may hit the screens in Summer 2024.

It seems like a 1000-year-old backstory, in which a warrior in 1678 died due to a disease. In the present, a girl does research on the disease that killed the warrior. The film was shot in Goa and Chennai.
