Interestingly, this places the Game of Thrones prequel spin-off lower than two weeks forward of one other big-budgeted epic fantasy prequel spin-off. I’m speaking about The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of the Power — as a consequence of start its eight-episode first season Friday, September 2 on Amazon Prime Video — a series that nearly exists as a result of of the huge craze round Game of Thrones. That means for all of September and a number of other weeks in October, audiences will likely be handled to a brand new Lord of the Rings episode each Friday and a brand new House of the Dragon episode each Sunday / Monday.
Alongside the House of the Dragon launch date, HBO has unveiled 9 new photographs from the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-off, that includes Paddy Considine as Seven Kingdoms’ fifth ruler King Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith as inheritor presumptive Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Viserys’ firstborn Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Lady Alicent Hightower who’s half of the king’s internal circle, Rhys Ifans as Alicent’s father and the Hand of the King Ser Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as well-known seafarer Lord Corlys “Sea Snake” Velaryon, Eve Best as Corlys’ spouse Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Milly Alcock and Emily Carey as younger Rhaenyra and Alicent, Fabien Frankel as expert swordsman Ser Criston Cole, and Sonoya Mizuno as dancer and Daemon’s most trusted ally Mysaria.
