Oscar-winning producer Gunit Monga, greatest recognized for backing movies akin to “The Lunchbox” and “Massan”, was awarded the second highest civilian French honor by France’s Overseas Minister Jean-Yves Le Dria on Tuesday. Monga was awarded the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters of France for her contribution to world cinema by means of her Indo-French productions and “her tireless diligence towards women’s empowerment”. Monga stated that somebody who has been an enormous fan of French cinema, receiving the consideration was a “special” second. The 37-year-old filmmaker stated that she is continually striving to champion girls’s empowerment by means of her work. Both India and France share an equal passion for cinema,” Minister Lee Drian stated.
