Faf Du Plessis out of the upcoming ODI collection towards England

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has decided to rest their former captain Faf du Plessis, including Pacer Kagiso Rabada, Pite van Biljon, Bjorn Fortuin, and Reeza Hendricks, from the upcoming ODI series against England. A 3-match series will be played between the two teams. The first ODI of the series will be played in Newlands on Friday.

CSA said in the statement, “These players have been released from the team, so that they can participate or relax in CSA’s four-day domestic tournament with their franchise teams. These players include Faf du Plessis (rest), Kagiso Rabada (injury rehab), Pite van Biljon, Bjorn, and Reeza Hendricks (four-day home series).

Du Plessis participated in the recent three-match T20 series against England. He had scored a total of 121 runs.
