Final Words
Emily Willis' tragedy has led to a lawsuit against Summit Malibu and its parent company detailing negligence and misconduct in treating her addiction. Although she arrived at the program for ketamine addiction treatment, medical records show that she had tested negative for drugs both upon entering and during her entire time at the center, as her condition deteriorated extremely quickly. The abuse allegations, professional negligence, and fraudulent business practices point to possible lapses in care or a lack of reasonable treatment at the rehab facility.
