Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has extended a ban on flights to and from the UK until 6 January. He said that his government has taken this decision due to two new strains of Corona virus found in Britain. According to the report of the news agency Xinhua, earlier these restrictions were imposed for 72 hours. Canada is also included in many countries of the world for banning UK flights due to new strains of the virus. A week ago in the UK, a new corona strain was found that is 70 percent more infectious than the earlier coronavirus.
Trudeau said at a press conference in Ottawa on Wednesday, “In addition to the measures already implemented, we have imposed travel restrictions faster in view of the situation in Britain.” Our government has temporarily suspended all commercial and passenger flights from the UK to Canada. Today I can announce that we are increasing this suspension of flights for the next 2 weeks so that we can stop these new strains of Covid-19 from spreading in Canada.
