A handful of job listings for Beyond Good and Evil 2 show that the game is still in lively improvement at Ubisoft.
Ubisoft has lately posted listings for a spread of roles on the Beyond Good and Evil 2 crew, which vary from (*2*)programmers and animators, to technical artists, to a improvement tester. The roles are primarily based at a spread of Ubisoft’s studios in France, Germany and Spain.

It’s not hard, then, to imagine that the team behind Beyond Good and Evil 2 has faced disruptions of its own. That’s not to mention the announcement of the departure of director Michel Ancel back in 2020, when it was confirmed that he hadn’t been directly involved with the project for “some time” already.
I attended a behind-closed-doorways preview of the game all the manner again at E3 2018 so I can at the very least verify it’s really an actual game that exists in some type, even when it seems like a dream now. I didn’t play a single little bit of it for myself (it wasn’t at that stage but) however I did watch some builders take it for a spin in a really managed demo. My overwhelming impression throughout the session was “well, that's ambitious”. Certainly, it struck me as a giant game with so much of shifting elements that may take a while to get proper. After the hassle Cyberpunk 2077 has had, there’s rightly a wariness round over-promising and below-delivering, so maybe the quiet round Beyond Good and Evil 2 is for the finest.
The authentic Beyond Good and Evil was launched in 2003—that’s 18 years in the past—and it’s been 13 years since Beyond Good and Evil 2 was first teased at Ubidays in 2008.
