Lynda Tabuya Video Leak: Fiji Cabinet Minister's Cyberbullying Case

Fiji's political scenario has completely been altered due to a Lynda Tabuya scandal. A private video of Tabuya and her husband was released on the social media which generated a lot of controversies. Following the blasting of this controversy, she was relieved from her position as a cabinet member and the Prime Minister of Fiji Sitiveni Rabuka stated that this incident has raised concerns over issues such as privacy, cyberbulies and gender matters in Fiji.

Government and Public Reaction

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka stated that the elimination of Tabuya from her Cabinet post was justified as being for the good of the people. Nonetheless, Tabuya continues to be a Member of Parliament even though she was stripped of her ministry but critics are asking for her to resign arguing the confidence of the public has been messed up by the scandal.
