99 tons of gold found in Turkey, value greater than the GDP of many international locations

In Turkey, 99 tons of gold have been discovered. Its value is said to be over 6 billion dollars. This amount is more than the gross domestic product (GDP) of many countries. Such a large gold mine has been discovered by a person named Fahrettin Poyraz. Poyraz heads the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Turkey. Talking to a local news agency, Poyraz said that within two years we will be successful in extracting some part from this gold mine. This is going to benefit Turkey’s economy.

38 tons of gold production in Turkey this year

This year Turkey has broken its own record regarding gold production. In 2020, 38 tons of gold has been produced in Turkey. Faith Donmez, the energy minister here, had set a target in September itself that Turkey has to produce about 100 tons of gold.

Price is more than the GDP of many countries
After knowing about such a large 99 tons gold discovered in Turkey, its value has been estimated. This price is being told more than about 6 billion dollars, which is more than the GDP of many countries. Whereas, Maldives GDP is 4.87 billion dollars. Burundi, Barbados, Guyana, Montenegro, Mauritiana have a GDP of less than 6 billion Dollars.

On the other hand, the European Union is planning to help 590 million dollars to help refugees coming to Syria from Turkey. The EU will provide sufficient cash to about 18 lakh refugees and will provide education to more than 7 lakh children. Red Crescent of Turkey is managing this program. UNICEF and Red Cross are also participating in it.
