43 Pakistani cricketers to play Big Bash League 12

The Big Bash League 12 is all set to add delightful vibes this winter for the cricket fans to enjoy alongside cups of hot teas whilst watching the quality cricket. The draft process has already initiated contracting world-class international cricketers from different countries.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also has announced No-Objection Certificates for 43 Pakistani cricketers to participate in the 12th edition of BBL. Initially, the total number of players on the draft list was 98, including no Pakistani player. However, the number of available players in the BBL 12 draft has now exceeded 100.

Earlier, the PCB declined the NOCs of multiple cricketers; however, days after the news circulation, their participation in the upcoming Big Bash League is now certain.

Since Pakistan are having a cricket-packed schedule, all their international and domestic fixtures clashing with BBL 2023-23 schedule, there is the possibility that multiple cricketers will be available partially for the Australian tournament. Some among them might miss some of the domestic games clashing with BBL, including the international fixtures; series against England, the West Indies, and New Zealand.

It is now up to the PCB to keep their players for international or domestic fixtures, play them partially, or let them be fully available for BBL 12. The decision will vary from player to player as per the match’s requirement.

It must be noted that Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Imad Wasim and Umar Akmal are among the 43 Pakistanis issued NOC for BBL. None of the all-format players such as Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Babar Azam are not allowed to take part in the T20 league following their importance in the upcoming fixtures.
